Parse supported NetFlow v5 and v9 exports into common flow records. Coverage depends on the exporting device, configured interfaces and exporter behaviour.
Who talks to whom
Use source and destination addresses, ports and protocols to investigate conversations. Flow byte and packet counts help locate the traffic associated with a busy period.
Traffic findings and reports
Traffic rules and flow reports help surface patterns for investigation. Relate the time window to link capacity, port errors and the affected service.
Network context
Connect flow evidence with device identity and topology where available. A large conversation is a clue; check whether it actually crosses the constrained path.

Flow records describe conversations, not their full contents. They do not provide universal application identification or decryption. Sampling and incomplete exports affect interpretation; NetFlow support does not establish sFlow or IPFIX parity.
